This study was conducted to adapt the short version of the Learning Climate Questionnaire (LCQ)-Short Version into Indonesian and to evaluate its psychometric properties using the Rasch Model. The scale is used to measure students’ perceptions of autonomy support from instructors in the learning environment and their related psychological experiences. The short version consists of 6 items; responses are rated on a scale from 1 (strongly disagree) to 7 (strongly agree), with 4 representing a neutral stance. Data were collected from 480 university students. Validity findings indicated that the data fit the Rasch Model (item/person Infit–Outfit MNSQ within the acceptable range), that the scale supported a unidimensional structure (raw variance explained by measures ≈ 61.9%; first contrast eigenvalue ≈ 1.92), and that the rating categories functioned effectively. All six items were appropriate, and no DIF was found by gender. Reliability indicators were high: Cronbach’s α ≈ 0.93; person reliability ≈ 0.91; item reliability ≈ 0.98; separation indices ≈ 6.50 and 3.13. In conclusion, the LCQ is a valid and reliable instrument for Indonesian students.
